FAQs

Can I request specific flowers in my bouquet?

Yes, you can request specific flowers at the point of ordering your bouquet –and if they are in season we will make every effort to source them for you. If the flowers you requested are not in season, we will suggest alternative flowers to you that are as close as possible in colour/style to the bloom you love.

I have no idea about flowers, how do I go about ordering a bouquet?

Leave it to us! If you don’t have any idea about flowers, that absolutely fine, it’s our area of expertise after all! All you need to do is give us the budget you would like to spend and a colour palette to work with and we will fill your bouquet with the loveliest seasonal blooms in your chosen colours. If the recipient has any specific character traits you would like to reflect in the florals – give us their style and we can try and match it! Fun and funky, classy and elegant, wild and edgy – there’s the phrase ‘say it with flowers’ for a reason!

Should I have my flowers Aqua packed?

An aqua pack is where the flowers are made into a ‘water bubble’ and presented in a gift box or bag. These are perfect if you are taking the flowers on a longer car journey with you, or presenting them at an event – basically, if it’s a situation where the flowers would otherwise be out of water for a prolonged period of time. Flowers can not ‘stay’ in an aqua pack - like a regular bouquet, the stems will need re-cutting and the water changing after a few days. So if you are taking the flowers directly to the recipient, then a hand tied bouquet or a presentation bouquet will do the trick!

Can I request a specific time slot for flower deliveries?

We deliver all daily bouquets on weekdays and Saturday between 8.30am and 6pm. If you are a business that closes at 5pm you may request by 5pm. If you desperately need your flowers by a specific time, please make this clear to us and we will make every effort to accommodate this for you.  Our delivery team takes the most efficient route at peak periods so it’s harder for timed delivery slots on these days. All funeral orders will be made by the time needed by the funeral directors.

What happens if the recipient is not home when you try to make the flower delivery?

It is the sender’s responsibility to try and ensure the recipient will be at the delivery address on the date of delivery (we appreciate flowers are usually a surprise, so it’s not always easy to do this.) If the recipient has a place of work, we always recommend sending flowers there during working hours. If the recipient is not home, we will try to leave with a neighbor if they are willing to take the flowers, and put a card through the door. If no neighbors are home, and the flowers are in a water source, we will try and find somewhere safe at the property to leave them. If the weather is bad, or there is nowhere safe to leave the flowers, we will call the sender and see if there is an alternative place to take the flowers.

As a last resort we will put a card through the door and bring the bouquet back to the shop, and await their contact to arrange redelivery.

wedding FAQs

When is the best time to arrange a consultation?

I’m very flexible with consultations. Most weekday evenings are good if you work and would like to come after work, or weekday daytimes. Saturdays seem to be the most popular choice with clients. I can also arrange a Sunday consultation upon request. Brides usually get in touch a year in advance. If we aim to have your consultation around the same time of year as your wedding, then you’ll be able to see what is seasonally available. I usually take consultations at my shop. However, if you are coming from further away, and don’t plan to be in the area, we can arrange a ‘halfway’ point to meet for a consultation. For large scale wedding and events, I can travel to the venue to take the consultation from there.

What can I expect from my wedding consultation?

The consultation is a fab way to meet potential brides prior to their big day, and get to know their personality, style and vision for their wedding. It is a relaxed and informal chat about what your floral expectations are. We discuss colour schemes, flower choices and designs. I always recommend that you bring along any images/colour swatches to help guide your designs. You can come alone, with the Groom, Maid of Honor, your Mum, whoever you wish! My space isn’t huge so I would say Bride plus two is an ideal number but if you would like to bring more people just let me know.

Once I have all this information I will be able to provide you with an accurate and bespoke quote, this will be sent via email after the consultation. I aim to get all quotes out 1 week after the consultation. However, at peak periods – during wedding season and Christmas, this is not always possible. If this is the case, I will give you an estimated deadline for your quote at the end of our consultation. The quote is valid for 4 weeks.

Do you have a minimum spend?

Currently I do not have a minimum spend for weddings, however once you have booked with us your floral requirements must not fall below 70% of the agreed upon quote.

How does delivery/set up work?

All the delivery details will be confirmed on the final draft of your quote. If you are having large scale work installed at your venue, set up time must be allotted to us. Displays such as church arches will be made on the morning of your wedding. Other larger scale work such as flower walls or chandeliers will be made the night before your event. You should only see us when we deliver your bouquets and buttonholes, all other work will remain out of sight where possible.

How do we secure a booking with you?

Once you receive your quote, there will be the ‘deposit required to secure the date’ at the end of the quote. Booking is only confirmed by receipt of the deposit. The deposit is non-refundable, even if the date is changed, the wedding/event cancelled for any reason, or the client decides to engage an alternative supplier. It is applied towards the contracted flowers and is deducted from the final invoice.

Can we book with you before having a consultation?

Yes. If you know you would definitely like to book your date in with us before we have a chance to meet/draw up a quote, we can take a deposit from you to secure the date. We would contact you to ask for some brief details about your wedding and arrange a deposit from there.

When is final payment due?

Final payment is due 4 weeks before the wedding. You can pay in instalments leading up to or in one lump sum at any point before this date. If I haven’t received the balance by this time I will send a reminder out to you.
